| Senior Quality Engineer Telford £60,000 Technical Network are leading a search for an automotive manufacturer based in Telford. Are you a seasoned Senior Quality Engineer with a strong background in the automotive industry? Are you well-versed in Core Quality Tools and have experience with IATF 16949 audits? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you. Responsibilities: - Work closely with the Quality Laboratory and Metallurgy teams to ensure they achieve their targets and inspect the submitted parts on time. - Own and drive process capability – CP/CPK on all developing programs (SPC, CM and in process gauge development Design, Quote, Procurement, Validation). - Review component drawings and understand the application requirements for each component with dimensional studies on finished goods with road maps as required. - Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements - Lead and conduct quality audits and inspections of manufacturing processes, materials, and finished products. - Provide technical expertise and guidance to manufacturing teams to improve quality and reliability of products. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives. - Responsible for supplier quality assessments and audits to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the supply chain. Skills and attributes: - Strong understanding of Core Quality Tools (APQP, SPC, MSA, FMEA and PPAP) - Proficient in and learning the Business Operating Systems (IATF 16949) - Experience in an automotive / high volume manufacturing environment - Understanding of Manufacturing Engineering - Problem Solving Skills – PPS / 8D / Six Sigma - IATF / TS16949 Internal Auditor - To be computer literate and able to use MS Office package (MiniTab would be an asset) Shift: Mon-Thu (8:30am-5pm) Friday (8:30am-2pm) Hours: 37.5 hours per week Join our passionate team, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of manufacturing excellence.
