Hotel Purchasing Manager - 5 star hotel - St Andrews
This is an important role, responsible for the purchasing of all areas of the hotel, with a special focus on the F&B department as it is the largest area and also includes rooms, spa. You will be a Purchasing Manager who has experience in managing a team and you will have 5 people in your team which includes goods controller, stores supervisor. So you will be someone who is a good leader and can coach and inspire your team. You will be an experienced Purchasing Manager who has at least 3 years Management experience in this field. You will be skilled at building relationships and with supplier negotiation. You will have sound commercial skills, able to consider life costs and true value as opposed to lowest price A good negotiator. Able to train others in purchasing best practices. This is a hybrid role with a preferred 4 days on site. The role will include the very occasional weekend work but is mainly Monday-Friday. If you have 5* hotel experience then that is advantageous, however not mandatory. You will be a Purchasing Manager with good IT skills and able to pick up using our system easily.
