Applications are invited from enthusiastic, motivated and conscientious individuals with excellent interpersonal skills for this interesting and busy post based at the Royal Sussex County Hospital and Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital.
As a member of the Inpatient Admissions Team, you will be the first point of contact for patients to the Department, and responsible for the administration of the waiting list for designated specialty areas.
You should be a good team player, with the ability to manage your own workload, and possess an excellent telephone manner.
Computer competence, strong customer care, communication and team working skills are all required.
Experience in a clinical administration role is desirable. You will also need to be able to balance tact and assertiveness, combined with the ability to work calmly and patiently within a team, in a sometimes stressful environment.
You will have experience of working in a high volume patient\/customer focused role, ideally in an acute hospital setting.
Experience of working within the NHS is an advantage, including knowledge of PAS, however full training will be provided.

Posts in the Trust are subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal spent and unspent convictions, reprimands, and cautions.
Appointment to this role will commence at the lowest salary point unless confirmed otherwise by HR Employment Services (Recruitment, Administration & Terms and Conditions)
