They are a high growth company providing value enhanced energy information and analysis. Their software is used to forecast, schedule, trade and settle power and gas markets across Europe. With offices in Stockton-on-Tees, London, and the Netherlands, they are truly an international company which is growing year on year in markets, products, revenues and offices. Due to further successful business growth, they are looking for a full-time Java Developers to join their existing team of highly skilled developers in their Stockton-on-Tees office. You must be self-motivated and creative. They are keen for people to grow with them, and professional development is available. Job description: You will work with the team to develop and expand their market leading tools, therefore a passion for solving problems and applying software skills to a wide variety of different business needs will be key. They provide web-based platforms to traders and other market parties in European energy markets and use forecasting, calculations and applied knowledge to enhance the value of the data collected. You would be joining at a crucial time as new systems to interface with electricity markets across Europe to trade, monitor and dispatch power stations and demand response in wholesale and balancing markets are currently being developed. Required: Your education level will have been to degree level (or equivalent) in a qualification based around science, engineering, mathematics or computer science. Please list any specialist areas of software development that you have as a strength in your application. Applications are welcome from graduate to experienced developers. Their current software development stack includes the following technologies: - Java - Javascript - Google Web toolkit (GWT) - Gradle / Maven - Vaadin - Linux - SQL/PostgresSQL - Amazon Web Services (AWS) - Tomcat Location: Stockton-on-Tees, Teesside Salary: Competitive.
