Job Description


A full or part-time Support Worker is required for a specialist case management and rehabilitation company providing Support Work, Case Management, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Medico Legal services to children and adults across North East England, North West England and Scotland. They are driven to help clients recover skills lost through complex life-changing conditions, so they can live meaningful, rewarding lives.

 
Full or part-time hours are available for this role - mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekend shifts. You will receive a salary of £16.00 per hour, along with a range of benefits including additional holiday accruing with service, a pension scheme, health cover and employee rewards!

“Hi, I am 11-year-old young lad looking for a Support Worker to join my existing team - I don’t care what your age, gender or orientation is, but I would prefer someone enthusiastic that can think outside of the box to keep me busy and safe.

You should have a great sense of humour, are kind, honest and happy to support me in getting out and about and completing my therapies. I need support with my personal care and all aspects of daily living, I use a wheelchair to get around, although I can walk small distances with support, and I have my own wheelchair accessible van. I’m very active and I like all things sensory so you must be creative and be prepared to keep up with my change of activities. I live with my family who are very important to me. 

I am looking for someone to join my existing team and assist me in reaching my rehabilitation goals and make sure I am well looked after and accessing activities that I enjoy.”

 
As Support Worker, your duties will include:
Assisting the client to access the community and engage in social and leisure activities, following therapy programs, maintaining and completing household duties, assistance with all daily living activities, personal care, administering medication and attending appointments.

 
We’re looking for a Support Worker with:

- Previous experience of working in the Health Sector. 
- A UK Driving licence and familiarity with driving a Wheelchair accessible vehicle WAV).
- Trained to NVQ / Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or have equivalent experience e.g. completed year 1 / level 4 of a recognised health profession degree course)
