Job Title: Venue Operations Manager The City, London Conference, Exhibition and Events Venue up to 36K plus bonus An exciting new role as Venue Operations Manager has opened up with my client at one of London’s most historically elegant and unique venues. As Venue Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient day to day operations of all events including, Team and House Management, Maintenance and Health and Safety along with Supplier Management and Venue Logistics. The venue boasts several, multo-purpose event spaces overlooking the Thames and hosts an eclectic mix of events including being a popular meeting venue, so some weekends are needed. This is a hands-on operational role in which you need to work well under pressure, have exceptional organisational skills, be a good leader, used to managing multiple events at once and have a real passion for it! The Venue Operations Manager is a key member of the management team with Duty Management responsibility for the building and line management of in-house stewards and agency staff. Ideal Individual: Experience or qualifications in the duty management of conference events, audio-visual and catering. A knowledge and experience of catering in a conference or events environment. A friendly, helpful, and tactful approach to customers and service providers. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, (both verbal and written) as well as an excellent telephone manner. Manage and motivate staff, both on and off-site ·Work as part of a close-knit management team Work quickly and accurately, with attention to detail Ability to prioritise and make decisions under pressure Trouble-shoot and solve problems
