Pertemps Education are currently working with a wonderful primary school located in Hackney who are seeking a HLTA to join their school after the April half-term on a long-term contract until the end of the academic year with the option to extend further. This role involves working in an autism provision unit with 6 students who have mild to high special needs. This includes personal care, non-verbal needs and ADHD. Experience with PECS or Makaton would be helpful with your application but is not needed. There is nothing physical in this, no biting or hitting in any manor. The age of the students is between early years and KS1. This primary school are looking to trials when the school comes back in the April half-term and for the right HLTA have them start ASAP.
