Lead Application Support Analyst - Commodities Trading (London)About the Role: This role offers the opportunity for a highly experienced Lead Application Support Analyst to join a dynamic and global Application Support team. They will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of mission-critical ETRM/CTRM platforms used by the company's global Commodities Trading team. The Follow the Sun Model: The Application Support team operates on a follow-the-sun methodology, providing support to traders and trade executioners across the globe. The Lead Analyst will collaborate closely with colleagues across APAC, North America, and Europe, ensuring a seamless handover of support tasks. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage the support of a portfolio of 8 ETRM/CTRM systems, including Allegro, TriplePoint/Tempest, Bunkertech, Aspect, OpenLink, and Amphora.
- Provide expert troubleshooting and resolution for complex technical issues related to the company's commodities trading applications.
- Partner with traders, trade executioners, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and identify root causes of problems.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge bases and documentation for application support procedures.
- Collaborate with development teams on bug fixes and enhancements to the trading applications.
- Analyze system logs and data to identify potential issues and proactively prevent disruptions.
- Participate in the company's global strategy initiatives, particularly those related to NetSuite.
- Manage and mentor junior support analysts within the team.
Essential Skills and Experience: - A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a Lead Application Support role within the Commodities Trading industry is required.
- Proven expertise in troubleshooting ETRM/CTRM platforms is essential.
- The candidate must possess in-depth knowledge of SQL and its application to support trading applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, with the ability to build strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment is crucial.
- Experience working within a follow-the-sun support model is highly desirable.
