Our client has a fantastic permanent Paediatric Occupational Therapist opportunity to work in Hampshire. J108739 Occupational Therapist Paediatric - Permanent Location: Hampshire Salary : £30,000-£34,000 per annum (Negotiable) Hours: Full time Client group: Children - 3 11 yrs. old. No Sponsorship My client is look for an ot to provide specialist Occupational Therapy Services to children 3-18 years attending the School. Children may present with a variety of diagnosis, including, Sensory Processing Disorder, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Speech and Language delay/disorders. Job Role: 1. To be responsible as an autonomous practitioner to undertake a clinical workload. 2. To undertake assessments of children, using both standardised and non-standardised assessment tools. 3. To demonstrate clinical reasoning and the ability to interpret assessment data and write clinical assessment reports. 4. To devise child/family centred treatment plans through use of goal attainment scaling, considering a wide range of treatment techniques and grading activities to ensure that the individual's full potential is developed or maintained. 5. To conduct 1:1 and small group treatment sessions in school. 6. To provide a high standard of clinical record keeping. 7. To provide an effective high-quality service to all children and families. 8. To communicate effectively with the multi-disciplinary team to promote the safety of children and the management of risk. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES * Excellent interpersonal skills - including observation, listening and empathy skills e.g., breaking bad news or explaining upsetting conditions to patients / families * Demonstrates excellent analytical and reflection skills at clinical levels * Well-developed concentration skills and ability to multi-task and work with frequent interruptions of a complex nature * Excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written, of complex information to other professionals * Demonstrates high level of computer literacy to enable effective data collection, report and document writing * Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills PERSONAL QUALITIES * Demonstrates ability to work at high level of autonomy * Flexible and fun personality * Approachable and amenable * Flexible to meet the demands of the service * Team Player and willing to support others EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS * Recognised Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy * Health Professions Council - Licence to Practice * Evidence of successful completion of a range of other short courses at post graduate level * Evidence of attendance at other specialist course relevant to paediatrics EXPERIENCE * Clinical experience of wide range of paediatric work in clinical or educational settings * Co-ordination of intervention planning in paediatrics * Clinical experience of working with children with a wide range of needs including Autistic Spectrum disorders, Dyspraxia, Sensory Processing Disorder and neurological disorders.
