Having a CV & a up-to-date Skills Profile will enable prospective Recruiters & Direct Employers to be able to find you by your key skills. If you do not wish to be searched or found in searches you can do this simply turn off your visibility.
To get the latest jobs sent to you email box, setup a Job Alerts Profile. You can setup multiple profiles to receive jobs in chosen specialist areas. You can monitor you applications through the activity panel and by the boxes below. They show your Recently Viewed / Shortlisted and the last 5 Applications you have made.
