Job Description


My client is a specialist mechanical contractor working within the construction industry who have been established since the early 2000’s. They design, supply, install, service & maintain air conditioning, heating & ventilation systems to commercial buildings.
The position requires an Improver Air Conditioning Engineer who is looking to further develop their skills within the HVAC industry. The role will involve assisting senior engineers with maintenance, diagnostics and repair works across a range of air conditioning systems while gaining further hands-on experience.
Duties
The Improver AC Engineer will be required to perform the following:
? Assist senior engineers with maintenance, inspection and repair of air conditioning / ventilation / refrigeration / cooling systems
? Support with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks across various commercial sites
? Work on systems such as split units, VRV/VRF systems, fan coil units and AHUs under supervision
? Assist with fault finding and basic diagnostics on AC systems
? Help maintain accurate records for HVAC equipment and service reports including F-Gas documentation where required
? Liaise with site teams including electrical and building services engineers when required
? Assist with general maintenance tasks and support engineers on installations or remedial works
Requirements
? Experience working within the air conditioning / HVAC industry (ideally 2–4 years)
? Basic knowledge of split systems and VRV/VRF systems (Daikin & Mitsubishi desirable)
? Some experience working with AHUs and fan coil units advantageous
? F-Gas qualification preferred or working towards
? Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge
? Willingness to learn and develop within the HVAC industry
? Good communication and customer facing skills
? Proactive and reliable attitude
? IT literate with the ability to complete service reports
? Full clean driving licence
Package
Salary – £30,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience)
Working Hours – 08:00 – 17:00
Company van / uniform / phone / tablet supplied
25 days holiday + bank holidays
On call rota 1 in 10 – £100 standby
Overtime available
