| Analyst Transmission, Securities and Charges Location: Castleford (WF10) Employment term: Temporary to Permanent Working hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 09:00am to 18:00pm Rate of pay: £17.25ph - £19.92ph  Do you want to power your career and be part of an evolving energy industry?  We’re working with a leading electricity distribution business powering millions of homes and businesses across the North East, Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire. Their teams are creating a smarter, more flexible network that will support the region’s decarbonisation efforts and meet the evolving needs of customers now and into the future.  We’re currently looking for an Analyst to join the Transmission Interface team, reporting to the Commercial Manager – Network Access. This is an exciting opportunity to join at a time of significant transformation in the energy sector. In this role, you’ll support the management of customer relationships and commercial contracts, helping major projects connect to the grid in line with all regulatory and commercial requirements.  Key Responsibilities  Operate financial processes to collect, hold and return customer securities for transmission system works. Identify and track financial and commercial risk to Northern Powergrid associated with securities held for transmission works. Use metrics to demonstrate compliance with commercial obligation – payment and collection of sums owed. Operate routine six-monthly processes to formally review and update cancellation charges with associated customer invoicing and communications. Provide support to the wider transmission connections interface processes to deliver good customer outcomes.   Key Competencies  Strong analytical skills to interpret information and apply judgement to decision making. Ability to develop reports and visualisations, improving existing processes. Experience operating financial systems and transactions. Have excellent planning and organisation skills, to prioritise and deliver tasks to deadlines To be a strong team player with good interpersonal skills and able to collaborate with others Have excellent written and verbal communication skills enabling effective customer communication and understanding.  Essential Criteria  Achieved 2 A-Levels C or above, or NVQ Level 4, or HNC in Business Management  Desirable Criteria  Understanding of the regulated energy business is desirable Knowledge of CUSC Section 15 is desirable We would welcome application’s from graduates with a degree in Accounting, Mathematics or Economics.  Benefits Along with a competitive salary, the company are also offering great benefits such as: Enrolment into a generous pension scheme 25 days holiday, rising with service, plus bank holidays Excellent opportunities for career growth and progression Dynamic working arrangements |
