Job Description

The work you do today could be the reason a resident feels safe walking home tomorrow. As an Anti Social Behaviour Officer, you'll be at the forefront of tackling ASB, protecting vulnerable people and working with partners to create safer, stronger communities while developing your career within community safety enforcement.

What's in it for you

- £18.16 per hour PAYE.
- Full-time, 37-hour week with a 5-month assignment.
- A varied role combining community engagement, investigations and enforcement activity.
- Work alongside police and partner agencies to deliver meaningful community safety initiatives.
- Spend the majority of your time out in the community making a visible difference.
- Develop valuable experience across ASB investigations, enforcement and community safety operations, making this an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a Community Safety Officer role.

Your responsibilities as Anti Social Behaviour Officer

- Investigate reports of ASB, assess risk, support victims and make safeguarding referrals where appropriate.
- Work closely with Greater Manchester Police and partner agencies to resolve anti-social behaviour and improve neighbourhood safety.
- Carry out enforcement activity, including Community Protection Warnings and Community Protection Notices where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate case records, evidence and reports using council IT systems.
- Build positive relationships with residents, businesses and local organisations to encourage community involvement and improve local environments.
- Drive a partnership community safety van and work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends when required.

What we're looking for in an Anti Social Behaviour Officer

- Experience within anti-social behaviour, housing, enforcement, community safety or a similar customer-facing environment.
- Good understanding of ASB legislation and the practical use of informal and formal enforcement powers.
- Ability to maintain accurate electronic case records using multiple IT systems.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS check, Police Vetting and DVLA checks.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends where operationally required.

Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working flexible shifts between 8:00am and 8:00pm, with occasional evening and weekend working.

If you're ready to make a genuine difference in local neighbourhoods and believe this Anti Social Behaviour Officer opportunity is the right next step, we'd love to hear from you.
