Job Description

Associate Cost Consultant

Exeter

Step into a role where your expertise helps shape high-quality developments across the South West and South Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cost professional ready to take on greater responsibility, lead a growing team, and influence the delivery of major Residential and Commercial projects across the region.

About the Role

You’ll guide and support a talented cost management team while overseeing complex projects ranging from £1m to £100m+. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional service, strengthening client relationships, and driving continuous improvement across cost and commercial management.

This position suits someone who enjoys mentoring others, thrives in a collaborative environment, and takes pride in contributing to better, more sustainable places.

Key Responsibilities

•             Leading, developing, and motivating a high-performing cost management team

•             Managing resources, performance, and compliance across multiple projects

•             Preparing and reviewing budgets, cost plans, and financial strategies

•             Overseeing projects from inception to completion, ensuring client expectations are met

•             Acting as a trusted adviser to senior clients and stakeholders

•             Identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and innovate

•             Providing expert technical guidance and data-driven insights

What You’ll Bring

•             Chartered status with experience delivering medium to large-scale projects

•             Strong leadership and people-management skills

•             Proven ability to build and maintain senior client relationships

•             Commercial awareness and confidence across the full project lifecycle

•             Knowledge of the South West market

•             A collaborative, proactive approach to delivering high-quality outcomes

Why This Role Stands Out

You’ll join an organisation that values its people, encourages career growth, and empowers you to make a meaningful impact. Your work will contribute to creating better places, improving quality of life, and leaving a positive legacy for the communities you serve.

If you’re ready to lead, inspire, and take your career forward, this role offers the platform to do it.
