Audit Manager Plymouth (hybrid working available) Top 50+50 Accountancy Practice Full-time | 36.25 hours per week (flexible working considered) We're working on behalf of a well-established and highly respected Top 50+50 accountancy practice with a strong presence across the South West. Known for their people-first approach, commitment to development, and a reputation for technical excellence, they're looking to appoint an experienced Audit Manager to join their team in Plymouth. The Role This is a hands-on leadership opportunity within the audit department, managing a diverse client portfolio across multiple sectors. You'll lead audit assignments from planning to completion, develop strong client relationships, and play a key role in mentoring junior team members. Hybrid working is available, but travel to client sites and other offices in the region will be expected. Key Responsibilities - Plan, manage, and deliver audit engagements with high attention to quality and compliance - Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements for both audit and non-audit clients - Support, coach, and supervise junior members of the audit team - Build and maintain strong relationships with a variety of clients - Translate complex technical issues into practical guidance and clear communication - Monitor performance metrics and suggest improvements to processes or delivery - Support departmental growth, business development, and networking initiatives Ideal Candidate Profile - ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist) with substantial audit experience in practice - Strong leadership and supervisory skills - Technically solid in UK GAAP and International Auditing Standards - Excellent interpersonal and client-facing skills - Competent with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook - Familiarity with Caseware and/or Sage software is an advantage - Self-motivated, commercially aware, and team-oriented - Benefits & Perks - Competitive salary of up to £55,000 per annum (depending on experience) with annual review - 25 days holiday + bank holidays (with option to buy/sell up to 5 days) - Ability to carry over one week of unused holiday - Flexible and hybrid working arrangements - Pension contributions rising up to 6% with length of service - Enhanced maternity/paternity pay after one year - Life assurance (3x salary) - Westfield Health and Reward scheme access - Cycle to Work, Payroll Giving, and Private Medical (via flexible benefits platform) - Commission schemes for client and staff referrals - 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme Please click on apply! |
