We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bar Manager to join our team and help maintain our high standards.
Role Overview
As a Bar Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the Bar. You will support the General Manager in ensuring smooth business operations, providing excellent customer service, and leading the team to deliver outstanding guest experiences. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the bar operations, ensuring high standards of drink, and customer service.
- Assist in managing and motivating a team to ensure exceptional service standards are maintained.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, licensing laws, and other hotel regulations.
- Support staff recruitment, training, and performance management to build a strong and efficient team.
- Updating drink menus and introducing new cocktails or products on a regular basis with fresh new ideas.
- Maintain a constant stock of bar products working alongside local suppliers and breweries.
- Assist in stock control, budgeting, and financial planning to optimize profitability.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the bar area.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hospitality management or supervisory role in a bar, or restaurant setting (essential)
- Previous Cellar Management would be preferable.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and Bank holidays as required - 48hrs a week.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within the hospitality industry.
- Basic financial acumen and experience with budgeting, stock control, or revenue management is advantageous.
- A strong local knowledge of Richmond is preferable.
