| A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a flexible and supportive team where you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day finances and play a vital role in keeping the business running smoothly. This hybrid role offers genuine flexibility and the chance to make a real impact. Along with a salary of £32,000 – £38,000, you will also receive: - Hybrid working (2 days per week in the office) - Flexibility around working hours - 28 days holiday including bank holidays - Company pension - No weekend work As Bookkeeper, your key responsibilities will include: - Maintaining accurate and complete financial records exclusively using the Xero accounting platform. - Processing all supplier invoices, record employee expenses, and managing all incoming and outgoing payments efficiently. - Managing the full invoicing cycle and actively following up on overdue customer balances and old debt. - Maintaining and processing monthly spreadsheets related to the bought ledger to track supplier liabilities. - Conducting prompt and precise reconciliation of all company bank statements and credit card accounts. - Preparing and delivering comprehensive monthly financial reports (P&L and Balance Sheet) for management review. - Preparing and compiling all necessary documentation to support the accurate filing of quarterly or annual VAT returns. - Assisting with internal budget tracking, year-end procedures, and compiling documentation for internal and external audits. - Completing and submitting the detailed monthly payroll spreadsheet to the external outsourced payroll provider. We’re looking for a Bookkeeper with: - Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role. - Experience of Xero Accounting Software - Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting. - Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets for data manipulation and ledger input. - Excellent communication skills, particularly for chasing outstanding debts professionally.
