| Business Development Manager Permanent opportunity In the Region of £40k - £60k DOE Are you seeking a new opportunity with a passion for driving growth, building community, and delivering outstanding customer experiences? We’re looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to lead sales, leasing and estate operations across two of Exeter’s most exciting workplace destinations. This is a senior, hands-on role where your commercial expertise will directly impact occupancy, revenue and the long-term evolution of these multifunctional environments. You’ll be at the centre of sales activity, operational coordination and stakeholder engagement — helping shape spaces where businesses thrive. What You’ll Do As a Business Development Manager , you will: - Guide and develop the commercial and estate operations team with purpose and professionalism. - Manage leases, serviced office agreements, co-working memberships and storage licences from initial enquiry through to completion. - Structure agreements, prepare Heads of Terms and lead negotiations to secure strong commercial outcomes. - Develop and execute marketing strategies that drive enquiries, viewings and conversions. - Ensure every viewing and tenant interaction reflects high standards and supports long-term occupancy. - Working closely with landlords, managing agents, contractors and on-site teams. - Provide regular commercial performance and operational updates to senior leadership - Manage the on-site operational team and oversee day-to-day operational matters - Contribute to shaping building design, floorplans and specifications by bringing market insight and commercial perspective to planning discussions. - Lead tenant lifecycle management across the estate, ensuring smooth transitions for incoming, outgoing and scaling businesses. - Oversee and administer community use agreements, including formal contracts with local sports clubs and community organisations. - Produce and present insightful reports on sales performance, leasing activity, operational issues, disputes, marketing outcomes and tenant matters to senior leadership. -  What We’re Looking For: Essential: - Proven experience in commercial property sales, leasing or asset/estate management. - Strong negotiation skills and managing lease progressions. - Experience with serviced offices, co-working spaces or mixed-use estate environments - Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including tenants, agents, solicitors and contractors. - Excellent organisational, communication and commercial decision-making skills - Confident to network and commercially driven - Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on.
