Job Description |
By encouraging out-of-court dispute resolutions and early agreement-reaching, the model reduces the need for families to attend court hearings, easing the judicial process.
The pathfinder model gives permission to Cafcass/Cafcass Cymru or Children's Services to start the work immediately. Enabling early comprehensive information gathering through Child Impact Assessments, in turn means shorter duration for children to wait on a decision.
The expedited collection of information enables you to have everything you need for your assessment. This in turn helps to avoids addendum reports, reduces court backlogs and avoids the delays typically seen in the standard process.
The model ensures that children have the opportunity to be seen and heard from the very beginning of the proceedings, giving them a significant voice in decision-making.
In situations concerning domestic abuse, the Pathfinder model offers referrals to specialist agencies for risk assessments and ongoing support, with Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVAs) providing in-court assistance. Must be on SWE  |
