Job Description

Care Support Worker – Farnham Common (SL2)

Full-Time | Long-Term | Immediate Start
Pay: £85–£100 per day

Are you compassionate, patient, and emotionally aware? Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people? A specialist care setting in Farnham Common (SL2) is looking for a dedicated Care Support Worker to join their team immediately, supporting individuals with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

This nurturing environment follows a therapeutic approach, prioritising emotional wellbeing, trust, and personalised care. It’s a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about empowering young people facing emotional and behavioural challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver consistent 1:1 and small group support for children and young people with SEMH needs, including those affected by trauma, anxiety, or behavioural difficulties.
  • Promote emotional regulation, social skills, and healthy coping strategies.
  • Use structured routines, visual aids, and therapeutic techniques to create stability and engagement.
  • Collaborate with care staff, education professionals, and external agencies to implement tailored care and behaviour plans.
  • Maintain a safe, calm, and supportive environment that fosters trust and personal growth.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in care, education, or youth support settings with individuals who have SEMH or behavioural needs.
  • A caring, adaptable, and inclusive mindset with a genuine passion for helping others.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage challenging situations calmly and effectively.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care, restorative practices, and emotional coaching techniques.
  • Willingness to undertake ongoing training in safeguarding, mental health, and therapeutic approaches.

This is a rewarding role where you’ll be part of a team that celebrates progress and supports your professional development while making a lasting impact.
