Caretaker – SEN School in Gravesend

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join a welcoming Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Gravesend. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment for pupils and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and repairs across the school site.
• Ensure the premises are safe, secure, and well-presented at all times.
• Support with health and safety checks and compliance.
• Manage cleaning schedules and liaise with contractors when required.
• Assist with setting up rooms and moving furniture for school activities.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a caretaker or site maintenance role (school experience desirable).
• Practical skills in basic repairs and maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
• Flexibility with working hours.
