Chartered Surveyor - Commercial & Markets Glasgow Up to £50,000 We’re working with a prominent organisation seeking a Chartered Surveyor to oversee the management and optimisation of a busy commercial market portfolio. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on estates and property management, service charge oversight, lease events, and strategic asset performance. You’ll play a central role in supporting the delivery of key financial and operational targets, while also deputising for the Markets Manager when required. Ideal for a surveyor with experience in retail, wholesale or markets environments, and a passion for driving efficiency and value. Key Responsibilities: - Manage lease renewals, rent reviews, arrears, and new lettings for a diverse portfolio - Lead service charge budgeting, recharges, and expenditure monitoring - Liaise directly with agents and tenants to secure favourable commercial terms - Prepare and present clear, accurate reports and recommendations to senior stakeholders - Support business improvement initiatives and help identify asset enhancement opportunities - Build strong working relationships across internal teams and with external partners - Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and risk management processes - Provide out-of-hours standby cover as required What We’re Looking For: - Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) - Strong experience in commercial property leasing and estates management - Demonstrated skill in budgeting, service charge management and reporting - Excellent verbal and written communication - Sound understanding of the commercial property market - Full UK driving licence - Ability to manage a demanding and varied workload Desirable: - Experience working in retail or market environments - Familiarity with property management systems - Degree in a relevant property-related field This is a great opportunity to step into a unique and engaging surveying role within a high-profile property portfolio.
