Children's Service Manager, Support and Protect Westmorland and Furness Council £400 day rate Hybrid: Based in Barrow 2/3 days a week - Lead and Inspire Teams - Provide strong leadership, supervision, and support to social workers and practitioners, fostering a culture of reflective practice, resilience, and continuous learning.
- Safeguard Children and Young People - Oversee complex child protection cases, ensuring effective risk assessments, safety planning, and timely interventions in line with statutory safeguarding duties.
- Drive Service Quality and Improvement - Monitor performance through audits, feedback, and data analysis, ensuring services meet regulatory standards and deliver the best outcomes for children and families.
- Partnership and Multi-Agency Working - Build effective relationships with schools, health services, police, and voluntary organizations to ensure coordinated responses to safeguarding concerns.
- Champion the Child's Voice - Ensure children, young people, and families are actively involved in decision-making, and that their rights, needs, and experiences shape service delivery.
