Job Description


Warrington; Deputy Children's Registered Manager

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Children's Residential Deputy Manager to support our 2 bed children's home. We are looking for an experienced, child focused individual who has a good understanding of the Ofsted Regulations to support the Registered Manager in the day to day running of on one of our children's homes is Warrington and ensure the services we provide to our children is outstanding.

You will work 37 hours a week Monday to Sunday on rota basis with the expectation of completing sleep in duties supporting the children and young people in within the service.

You will also benefit from 20% enhancements Monday to Friday 7pm to 11pm and 30% enhancements from 7pm to 11pm on Saturday and Sunday. We offer a substantial training package whilst your in role. We are in easily commutable distance of Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside.

Essential Needs

Current First Aid certificate

Current Fire Safety Certificate

Team Teach or similar

NVQ level 3 in care of children & young people or a diploma in social care.

Experience of working with children and young people in a social care setting.

Understanding of young people's needs and behaviours and evidence of having effectively contributed to responding to those needs to enable them to reach full potential.

Demonstrates a flexibility of approach

Proven interpersonal skills to be able to represent the interests of the home in a positive way.

Accepts responsibility and accountability for own work, understands the limits of his/her role. Is able to complete work by set deadline, seeks and uses professional support constructively.

Evidence of ability to contribute effectively to a team providing high quality care in a safe and stable setting

Experience of supervising staff

Experience of working in a setting where a calm manner and reflective attitude is needed.
