Temporary Class 1 HGV Driver - Immediate Start
£17.00 per hour | Days | 50 Hours per Week | Temporary Position
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver to join a busy logistics operation on a temporary basis with an immediate start available.
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional and reliable driver who is committed to safety, exceptional service, and maintaining high operational standards. Working closely with the transport team, you will play a key role in ensuring deliveries and collections are completed efficiently and compliantly.
Key Responsibilities - Complete deliveries and collections safely and efficiently.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
- Maintain regular communication with the transport office regarding schedules and instructions.
- Ensure all delivery paperwork and proof of delivery records are completed accurately.
- Assist with loading and unloading when required.
- Correctly use driver technology and apps to support compliance and operational visibility.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and roadworthy vehicle at all times.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence.
- Minimum 2 years' Class 1 driving experience.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Maximum of 6 penalty points for insurance purposes.
- Must be physically fit, as the role will involve manual handling and loading/unloading duties.
- Professional, safety-conscious approach to driving.
- Reliable, customer-focused, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
