Job Responsibilities- Operate a Class 2 (C) vehicle safely and efficiently in line with legal and company requirements.
- Complete scheduled deliveries and collections across local and regional routes.
- Carry out vehicle checks before and after shifts, reporting any defects or concerns promptly.
- Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent damage during transit.
- Follow route plans and delivery instructions, maintaining accurate timing and records.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle to a high standard.
- Adhere to health and safety procedures, including safe loading/unloading practices.
- Drivers mate will be provided
Required Skills & Qualifications- Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
- Driver CPC qualification (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence).
- Digital tachograph knowledge and ability to comply with tachograph rules.
- Strong understanding of UK road safety and safe driving practices.
- Experience driving HGV vehicles in a multi-drop or delivery-focused environment (preferred).
- Ability to complete vehicle walkaround checks and report issues accurately.
- Good level of route planning and navigation skills to meet delivery schedules.
