Utilities Groundworker – Clean Water (Second Man)
Up to £165 per shift (Dependent on Experience)
Permanent PAYE Location: Greater Manchester & Lancashire (Field Based)
Morson Edge are currently recruiting a Second Man – Utilities Groundworker to join a clean water network team across Greater Manchester and Lancashire. You will work closely with an experienced Supervisor/Team Leader, assisting with mains laying, excavations, and general utilities groundworks to ensure high-quality, safe, and efficient completion of works.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Supervisor in daily clean water network operations
Assist with mains laying: slip lining, pipe bursting, and PMV installations
Support excavations, backfill, and reinstatement tasks
Maintain site safety for team members and the public
Keep tools, equipment, and vehicles in good condition
Record work updates using mobile systems
Work within a team to achieve right first time outcomes
Requirements
Experience in utilities or groundworks
NRSWA Streetworks qualification
Full UK Driving Licence
Knowledge of health and safety procedures
Awareness of underground utility avoidance
Desirable
SHEA Water
EUSR Blue Card
IOSH Health & Safety
Experience on water network projects or deep excavations
