Job Title: CNC Operator / CNC Fabrication Engineer
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time


About the Role


We are currently recruiting for a skilled CNC Operator / CNC Fabrication Engineer. This is a hands-on role responsible for the day-to-day operation, setup, and maintenance of CNC machinery, as well as supporting wider fabrication and production activities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines, including Trupunch 1000 with Sheetmaster Compact and Trumpf Press Brakes (3100 & 3066)
  • Fold and cut parts in line with engineering drawings
  • Carry out MIG welding of mild steel products to specification
  • Perform basic TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance), including cleaning, sharpening, and minor repairs
  • Manage stock levels of essential materials such as sheet metal and consumables
  • Support goods-in processes, checking deliveries for quality and quantity
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
  • Assist with logistics and general production duties as required
  • Learn and support the wider production process, including mechanical fitting where needed

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience setting and operating CNC machines
  • Ability to read and work from technical/mechanical drawings
  • Experience with press brakes and folding machines (advantageous)
  • MIG welding experience (mild steel)
  • Forklift licence (desirable, not essential)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
