About the Role As a Commissioning Engineer, you’ll be working with cutting-edge lighting systems and DALI lighting across some of the UK’s most high-profile construction and infrastructure projects. From day one, you’ll be hands-on — testing, configuring, and commissioning advanced systems that bring buildings to life. You’ll receive full training and mentorship, and as you grow in the role, you’ll take ownership of your own projects, making sure every system runs perfectly and delivers the wow factor for clients. Why This Role Stands Out Work on landmark, large-scale projects you’ll be proud to put your name to Become an expert in DALI lighting and smart building systems Travel the UK with all travel and expenses paid (including free travel and mileage) Clear career progression into senior engineering roles Enhanced overtime pay (time and a half, double time etc.) £75 per night allowance when staying away (up to 4 nights per week) What We’re Looking For Experience with electrical or lighting installations Passion for lighting systems, DALI lighting, and commissioning ECS or CSCS card Electrical qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or similar) Ability to read electrical drawings is a bonus Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset Willingness to travel and occasionally work evenings or weekends (with enhanced pay) Ready to step up from installation into commissioning?
