Are you an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager looking to take the next step into Contracts Management?

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a major civil engineering contractor within an established regional operation in the South West.

This is an ideal opportunity for a client-facing Project Manager who has progressed through an engineering/site delivery route and can demonstrate successful delivery of multiple major civil engineering projects.

You do not need to already hold the Contracts Manager title. The focus is on finding someone with the right project delivery experience, technical background and leadership capability to make that next career move.
The Role Working as part of an established regional operations team, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of major civil engineering projects across the region.
Responsibilities will include:

- Overall responsibility for project delivery from pre-construction through to completion
- Leading and supporting site-based project teams
- Developing and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards
- Working closely with commercial teams to maintain strong financial performance
- Managing programme, risk and project performance
- Supporting pre-construction and planning activities as new projects come through
- Providing leadership and direction to project teams
- Maintaining effective communication between clients, operational teams and senior management

About You We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who can demonstrate:

- A minimum of 2 years' experience operating at Project Manager level
- A career developed through an engineering/site delivery route
- Strong main contractor / Tier 1 civil engineering experience
- Successful delivery of more than one £10m–£20m+ civil engineering project
- Previous overall responsibility for project delivery, rather than solely individual packages
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience
- Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams
- A background within infrastructure, highways or major civil engineering projects

You may currently be working as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager and looking for the opportunity to progress into Contracts Management.
The Opportunity This role offers the opportunity to join an established regional civil engineering operation with a strong, long-term secured workload and further projects coming through across the South West.
Alongside excellent job security, you'll have the opportunity to develop your career within a major contractor, with potential longer-term opportunities to work across different sectors within the wider business.
Package

- Salary up to £70,000 DOE
- Car / car allowance
- Performance-related bonus
- Wider company benefits package
- Long-term secured workload
