| Are you an experienced Cook with a passion for preparing fresh food, using seasonal and local produce? Do you have a flair for making home-baked cakes? Then this could be the job for you! A stylish, destination café based in the Maws Craft Centre Courtyard in Jackfield near Telford. They serve a fantastic selection of food, including breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Home-baked cakes are a speciality. This dog-friendly venue serves wholesome dishes using local and seasonal produce and can also cater for gluten free, vegetarian and vegan customers. The successful applicant will be joining a friendly and supportive team, serving lovely clientele in a busy environment. Your duties as Cook: - Food preparation - Cooking and serving customers in a timely manner - Cooking breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea - Baking cakes - Stocking shelves and fridges - Stock rotation - General and deep cleaning - Serving customers with food and drinks if required - Washing up - Taking orders on the till - Other duties as required - Training as a Barista will be given Skills and experience we’re looking for in a Cook: - Applicants must have experience in a similar environment - Qualified to Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene - Excellent knowledge of food allergens - Friendly and welcoming to customers - Able to take instructions and work under own initiative - Well-organised and an efficient team player This is a part-time position every other Friday, Saturday and Sunday, approx. 14-21 hours a week. They will receive a salary of £12.21 per hour.
