Job Description

Would you like a genuine opportunity to lead and build a Corporate team wit the support of an ambitious Director team? Are you interested in hybrid and flexible working?

Would you like to work in an established, growing and profitable firm?

Opportunities to build a Corporate department don't come along very often!

This is a chance to join a long-established, multi-site law firm that is entering an exciting new chapter following a recent management buyout. Backed by an ambitious leadership team, significant investment and strong existing client relationships, the firm has created an opportunity for a Corporate Solicitor to take ownership of and grow its Corporate offering.

This isn't about inheriting a large team or maintaining the status quo.

It's about building something.

Whether you're already leading a Corporate team or you're an ambitious Corporate Solicitor who feels ready for the next step, you'll be given the autonomy, support and resources to shape the future of the department and make it your own.

If you are qualified to practise as a Solicitor in England & Wales and have relevant Corporate law experience gained within the UK, I would love to hear from you!

The Opportunity:

You'll work closely with the firm's leadership team to develop and grow the Corporate practice, building on an established client base and strong reputation across the region.

The role offers genuine scope to:

  • Shape the strategic direction of the Corporate department
  • Build and develop a team over time (if desired)
  • Develop new and existing client relationships
  • Take ownership of high-quality Corporate matters
  • Help influence the wider direction and future growth of the firm
  • Progress towards a Director-level position

The work includes:

  • Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Shareholder Agreements
  • Business Sales & Purchases
  • Corporate Restructuring
  • Joint Ventures
  • Commercial Contracts
  • General Corporate Advisory work

About the Firm:

The firm combines the credibility and stability of a long-established practice with the energy and ambition of a business that's investing heavily in its future.

Recent developments include a management buyout, a refreshed leadership team and significant investment in its offices, people and growth plans.

The culture is professional but refreshingly free from ego and unnecessary hierarchy. Collaboration, accountability and exceptional client service sit at the heart of everything they do.

About You:

You may already be leading a Corporate team and looking for a platform where you can have greater influence.

Equally, you may be an ambitious Corporate Solicitor who feels ready for a bigger challenge and wants the opportunity to build something rather than wait for someone else to move on.

What's more important than job title or years of PQE is your ability to:

  • Deliver exceptional client service and build trusted client relationships
  • Win and develop new business and contribute positively to a collaborative culture
  • Take ownership and accountability and combine commercial awareness with technical excellence

If you feel you fit the bill and would like to explore the opportunity further, I would welcome a confidential conversation or please apply by sending your most recent CV or simply connect with me on LinkedIn.

Please note, applicants must be qualified to practise as a Solicitor in England & Wales and have relevant Corporate law experience gained within the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Amida is an equal opportunities employer and we welcome applications from all demographics.
