Job Description |
Role: CP Social Worker Salary: £45.46ph umb Location: Westmorland and Furness Council; Barrow Job Type: Locum Shifts: 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday
About the Role: As a Social Worker, you will provide essential support to individuals and families facing a wide range of challenges. You'll assess needs, develop care plans, and work alongside multidisciplinary teams to safeguard vulnerable people and improve their quality of life. This is a highly rewarding role where you will directly impact the wellbeing and safety of those you support. Barrow in Furness predominantly however children can live within 20miles of Barrow that we support and placements can vary within the whole of Cumbria as a county and surrounding counties for LAC children. 20-25 children including court proceedings/children subject to ICO/CP /CIN/PLO. We work a duty rota system and the team cover duty every 4th week - during duty week I would request that the worker is in Barrow all week to support the team. We hold team catchup's (optional attendance) on teams every morning for half an hour so that the team can jump on and highlight any issues they may have for the day. Once a week on a Wednesday we have team meeting in person in Craven House so that we can share information up and down and have a general catch up in person. Once a month we have a stop the clock day so that admin tasks and/or group supervision can take place
Key responsibilities include: * Comprehensive Assessment: Conduct detailed assessments and risk evaluations for service users. * Care Planning: Develop, implement, and review tailored support plans. * Safeguarding: Ensure the protection of vulnerable children and adults. * Advocacy: Support clients to access healthcare, housing, benefits, and community resources. * Collaborative Working: Partner with healthcare professionals, local authorities, and voluntary organisations. * Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely case notes in compliance with professional standards.
