Salary: £29,344 - £44,919 (MPS/UPS, dependent on experience)

A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Aylesbury is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Drama Teacher to join their Expressive Arts department. This is an exciting opportunity to nurture a love for the performing arts and help students develop confidence, creativity, and communication skills both on and off the stage.

Whether you're an experienced teacher or an ECT with a passion for performance, this role offers a supportive environment to grow and make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for KS5)

  • Foster a dynamic and inclusive classroom where all students can express themselves

  • Support pupils in developing performance, devising, and analytical skills

  • Organise and contribute to school productions, showcases, and enrichment activities

  • Assess and monitor student progress in line with national curriculum and exam board specifications

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Expressive Arts department and across the school

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching Drama at secondary level

  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum and assessment frameworks

  • Passion for the performing arts and inspiring young people

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • A valid, enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Ability to provide at least two years of references
