| Electrical Engineer - Building Services ?? Leamington Spa (Office-based with site visits) I’m currently working with a well-established building services consultancy in Leamington Spa that is looking to bring in an Electrical Engineer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to be heavily involved in projects from concept through to completion, with real client exposure and responsibility. ------------------------- The Role As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical designs while working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities - Carry out site surveys and produce detailed reports - Design electrical building services systems - Coordinate mechanical and electrical services across projects - Prepare design and performance specifications - Produce and review drawings and technical documentation - Support and manage CAD deliverables - Assist with tender documentation and procurement - Prepare budget cost estimates and support cost control - Contribute to plant room and service distribution sizing ------------------------- Project & Client Involvement - Liaise with clients to establish project briefs and provide technical guidance - Advise on design options, constraints, and solutions throughout the project lifecycle - Collaborate with architects, project managers, contractors, and other consultants - Attend design team and site meetings - Review M&E tender packages and contractor proposals - Monitor costs, variations, and project performance ------------------------- Site & Delivery - Carry out site inspections, snagging, and quality assurance checks - Respond to site queries and technical issues - Supervise and monitor contractor performance - Witness testing and commissioning of systems - Support project close-out including defects and final accounts ------------------------- Additional Responsibilities - Resolve technical, operational, and contractual challenges - Provide support across multiple projects where required - Take responsibility as a lead engineer on relevant projects - Support and coordinate with CAD and administrative teams - Assist in business development and maintaining client relationships - Provide cross-discipline support when required (e.g. assisting on mechanical-related issues) ------------------------- What They’re Looking For Essential Experience & Skills - Strong experience within building services engineering (electrical) - Proven technical design ability with strong attention to detail - Effective time management and ability to prioritise workloads - Ability to work independently and under pressure - Strong communication skills across all levels - from clients to site teams - Proactive mindset with willingness to take ownership - Strong team player, supporting colleagues where needed - Ability to anticipate and mitigate design, installation, and cost risks - Good understanding of project delivery and contractual processes ------------------------- Technical Skills - Experience with industry-standard software (e.g. Hevacomp or similar) - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) - Experience working alongside CAD/Revit teams ------------------------- The Opportunity - Work on a diverse portfolio of projects across multiple sectors - Full involvement across the project lifecycle - Join a collaborative and supportive consultancy environment - Strong opportunity for career development and progression ------------------------- If you’re an Electrical Engineer looking for more responsibility, project exposure, and long-term progression, I’d be happy to talk you through the opportunity. |
