Electrical Technician - North Yorkshire Our client, a global leader in engineering solutions, is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join their team at their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in North Yorkshire.
The Role As an Electrical Technician, you'll play a key role in the assembly, wiring, and testing of electrical and electronic components, subassemblies, and systems. Working to exacting quality and safety standards, you'll help bring complex subsea equipment to life - contributing directly to the delivery of high-performance engineering solutions used worldwide. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and test electronic/electrical subassemblies and full assemblies following engineering drawings, schematics, and work orders.
- Perform precision wiring, soldering, and cabling on harnesses, control panels, and connector systems.
- Conduct functional testing and limited troubleshooting of electrical assemblies.
- Operate computer-controlled systems as part of the build and test process.
- Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety throughout all work.
- Ensure departmental build and efficiency targets are achieved.
- Complete all documentation and records to ISO9001 standards.
- Support good housekeeping and continuous improvement practices across the workshop.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 1-5 years' experience in an electrical or electronic assembly environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical/electronic systems and production processes.
- Competence in:
- Low-voltage AC/DC wiring and looming
- High-voltage installations
- Control and data systems
- Fibre optic handling and termination
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and meeting deadlines.
Qualifications - ONC (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering - desirable but not essential.
- 18th Edition certification preferred.

- Comfortable working under pressure and managing detailed tasks.
