| Employment Lawyer Location: Tamworth (Hybrid Available) Employment Type: Permanent – Full-time and Part-time Opportunities Salary: Dependent on experience, plus bonus A long-established, family-run firm is seeking a talented Employment Lawyer to join its growing Employment team. Role Overview You will provide an effective, timely, and high-quality service to clients across a broad spectrum of employment law matters. Key Responsibilities - Advising on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including: - Settlement agreements - Business reorganisations and redundancy processes - TUPE advice - Unfair and constructive dismissal claims - Equality and discrimination matters - Grievance and disciplinary issues - Absence management - ACAS Early Conciliation - Drafting contracts, policies, and handbooks - Restrictive covenants - Achieving annual fee-earning and chargeable hours targets - Managing an agreed caseload in consultation with the Head of Department - Ensuring cases are handled efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with firm procedures - Prompt time recording, billing, and collection of outstanding balances - Cross-selling services across the firm - Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and referrers - Upholding the highest professional and ethical standards Person Specification Qualifications & Experience - Qualified Lawyer (Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer) - Must have over 2 years’ PQE - Minimum two years’ employment law experience (more senior candidates also welcome) - Demonstrable ability to build and sustain strong client relationships Knowledge & Skills - Strong understanding of employment law and the ability to advise on complex client issues - Commercial awareness with a proactive, client-centred approach - Excellent drafting, research, and analytical skills - Clear and confident verbal and written communication - Exceptional attention to detail - Ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritise effectively - Proficiency with legal case management systems and Microsoft Office If you are an enthusiastic Employment Lawyer looking for your next opportunity within a supportive and family-orientated firm, we would love to hear from you. |
