Job Description

FULL AND PART TIME (3 FULL DAYS) A WEEK ON OFFER

Do you want a role where you can genuinely make a difference to people's lives?

Are you looking for flexibility as well as unparalleled daily support and a very generous holiday allowance?

Do you have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle?

We are looking for a compassionate, community-focused individual for our client which supports households facing energy-related challenges.

This is an incredibly varied and rewarding role combining home visits, telephone advice, advocacy and community outreach. You will help people understand their options, access support schemes and overcome issues with energy providers, often supporting some of the most vulnerable members of the community.

Duties will include:

  • Providing one-to-one advice and support to households.
  • Advocating with energy suppliers to resolve problems and secure positive outcomes.
  • Helping people access grants, funding and support schemes.
  • Building relationships with local organisations and referral partners.
  • Delivering talks, outreach sessions and attending community events.
  • Maintaining accurate records and case notes.
  • Ensuring services are delivered safely, professionally and in line with safeguarding requirements.

We are looking for:

You will be empathetic, organised and a confident communicator who enjoys helping others.

We are particularly interested in people with experience in community work, advice services, housing, support work, welfare, customer advocacy or the charity sector.

You will have:

  • Experience supporting vulnerable individuals or communities.
  • Strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Excellent communication and record-keeping skills.
  • A genuine commitment to improving people's lives.

Knowledge of energy, housing or community support services would be advantageous but isn't necessarily essential.

If you are looking for a rewarding role where your work has a real impact every day, we would love to hear from you.

Full job descriptions will be released to candidates after an initial screening call.

Please note you must live in the advertised area to qualify for this role.

Please note a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential to be considered for this role.

Amida is an equal opportunities recruitment business and we welcome applications from all demographics.
