Are you an English graduate with a passion for words, but not quite ready for the final full stop in your education journey? We’re on the hunt for dynamic, enthusiastic graduates like you to help schools across Cardiff as Cover Supervisors and Teaching Assistants. You’ll be swapping essays for engaging lessons, plot twists for classroom fun, and taking on the role of a real-life hero to students!

Whether you’re fresh out of university or looking for a career that’ll keep you on your toes, this role is perfect if you want to make a positive impact on young minds. Your talent for communication will be key as you help keep the classroom running smoothly, even on those ‘cover’ days!

Your mission (should you choose to accept it):

• Supervising and managing classrooms in the absence of teachers (think substitute teacher—but cooler!).
• Supporting students in lessons, helping them unlock their potential (think more Sherlock, less Shakespeare).
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities, preparing materials, and keeping things running like clockwork.
• Encouraging a love of learning in a fun and positive way.

Ideal candidates will have:

• A degree in English (or a love of the subject that’s impossible to hide).
• Experience working with children or young people (even if it was helping your younger siblings with their homework!).
• An Enhanced DBS (because we know you’re trustworthy—but let’s make it official!).
• EWC registration (bonus points if you already have this, but if not, we’ll help you get it sorted!).
