Contract: Full time – September 2025 start Salary: £160 - £245 per day Key Responsibilities:

Deliver inspiring and well-structured English lessons that develop reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills. -
Cultivate a classroom culture where every student feels confident to express themselves and grow. -
Use effective assessment strategies to track progress and provide meaningful feedback. -
Encourage a love of reading, critical thinking, and creative writing. -
Connect literary themes and texts to real-world contexts, making learning relevant and engaging. -
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and enrich the student experience.
Qualifications & Skills:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification. -
Strong subject knowledge in English Literature and Language, with experience teaching across KS3–KS5. -
Passion for helping students discover the power of words and stories. -
Commitment to inclusive, student-centred teaching practices. -
Excellent communication skills and effective classroom management. -
Willingness to support extracurricular activities such as drama, debate, or creative writing clubs.
