English Teacher – Maidstone
Long-Term Contract | Start: After October Half Term – Until Christmas Holidays

Supply Desk are delighted to be supporting a highly regarded and popular secondary school in Maidstone in their search for a passionate and adaptable English Teacher to join their dedicated English department after the October half term break. This full-time role will run until the Christmas holidays, with full teaching responsibilities, including planning and marking.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive and energetic department in a school known for its positive learning environment and strong community ethos.

The Role:

• Deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons to students across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is beneficial but not essential).
• Take full classroom responsibility, including planning and marking.
• Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment where all students can achieve.
• Collaborate closely with the established English department and contribute to shared planning.
• Be an adaptable team player who can hit the ground running and support learners effectively.
• Participate in department and whole-school activities where possible.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school setting.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• A positive, flexible, and team-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• A valid DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
