Estate Head Chef

Location: Kelso, Scottish Borders
Salary: £45,000 + gratuities (£250-£300 per month) + bonus scheme
Accommodation: Live-in available

An incredible opportunity has arisen for an accomplished Estate Head Chef to join the culinary team at a luxury 5-star hotel and estate, renowned for outstanding hospitality, refined dining, and a stunning Scottish Borders setting.

We're seeking a talented and inspiring leader who can deliver exceptional food that reflects the quality and character of this remarkable estate.

The Role

  • Lead all kitchen operations across the estate, ensuring consistent excellence in food quality and presentation
  • Develop and deliver innovative, seasonal menus showcasing the best local produce
  • Manage and mentor a skilled kitchen brigade, fostering creativity and high performance
  • Oversee ordering, stock control, and GP management
  • Maintain rigorous hygiene and safety standards
  • Collaborate closely with senior management to enhance the overall dining experience

About You

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef within a luxury hotel, fine dining restaurant, or estate environment
  • Creative, passionate, and committed to the highest culinary standards
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on developing others
  • Commercially savvy, with a clear understanding of GP management and cost control
  • Calm, professional, and confident under pressure
