| Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver  Location: Local manufacturing business Salary: £13 per hour Job Type: Temp to Perm Start Date: January Hours: Full-time  About the Role An established, family-owned manufacturing business with over 40 years of experience is seeking a reliable and skilled Warehouse Operative to join its small, close-knit warehouse team. This role is to replace a long-serving employee who is retiring, offering a rare opportunity for a 6-month handover period with full training provided.  The successful candidate will be calm, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.  Key Responsibilities -  Following written procedures for safe working and standard operating practices -  Order picking within an 8,000 sq ft warehouse (approximately 200 picks per day) -  Booking in stock and putting away -  Transporting stock between manufacturing and warehouse facilities -  Stock taking and inventory control -  Reboxing and weighing smaller orders -  Booking in returned products -  Goods inwards: unloading and storing raw materials -  Maintaining high standards of housekeeping  Requirements Essential: -  Valid forklift licence (Reach and Counterbalance) -  Full, clean UK driving licence -  Experience in a fast-moving warehouse environment -  Excellent command of the English language -  Trustworthy and able to work with minimal supervision -  Calm under pressure with a proactive approach -  Courteous and professional when dealing with customers Desirable: -  Forklift licence (VNA)  What’s on Offer -  £13 per hour -  Temp to perm opportunity -  Full training and extended handover period -  Uniform provided after qualifying period -  Friendly, supportive working environment  Interview Process -  First stage: Face-to-face interview with a site tour -  Second stage: Competency-based assessment of van and forklift driving skills If you are interested in replying please click apply now or email your CV to tamworth@pertemps.co.uk |
