Pay Rate: £12.71 – £14.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Berkeley Scott is currently recruiting Food Service Assistants to join our busy agency team, supporting a variety of clients across Birmingham and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and hardworking individuals looking for flexible work within schools, care homes, healthcare settings, and other catering environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with food preparation and service
• Serving meals, snacks, and refreshments to customers
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas
• Clearing tables and service areas as required
• Washing dishes, utensils, and catering equipment
• Following food hygiene, health, and safety procedures
• Supporting chefs and catering teams with daily operations
• Delivering excellent customer service at all times

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Previous experience in a catering, hospitality, or food service environment
• A good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
• Food Safety Level 2 Certificate
• Food Allergen Awareness Certificate
• A reliable, professional, and positive attitude
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
