Manpower are currently looking for a Freight Forwarder in the Grimsby / Immingham area to join an excellent and ever growing team!

The right candidate should be driven towards growing within a logistics company specialising in international freight solutions. With a strong commitment to customer service and operational excellence, we are looking for the right candidate to expand a team with a motivated and detail-oriented Freight Forwarder / Administrator.

Job Overview:


As a Freight Forwarder / Administrator you will be responsible for coordinating the import and export of goods, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and providing administrative support to the logistics team. This is a varied role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has excellent organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Arrange and manage international and domestic freight shipments (road, sea, air).

  • Liaise with carriers, agents, and customers to coordinate logistics.

  • Prepare shipping documentation including Bills of Lading, customs declarations, invoices, and packing lists.

  • Monitor shipments and proactively resolve any issues or delays.

  • Maintain accurate records in line with company and legal requirements.

  • Provide general administrative support including data entry, filing, and responding to email/phone enquiries.

  • Ensure compliance with all import/export regulations and procedures.

  • Communicate with internal departments to ensure smooth operational flow.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in freight forwarding or logistics administration (minimum 1-2 years preferred).

  • Strong understanding of international shipping and customs processes.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics software (e.g., CargoWise, SAP, or similar).

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure.

Desirable:


  • Knowledge of incoterms, tariffs, and documentation requirements.

  • Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, or logistics providers.

  • Multilingual skills are a plus.
