Fundraising Assistant Location: Edinburgh Type: Part time, 26 hours Salary: £26k - £30k (Pro Rata at part time hours) We’re working with a leading mental health charity to recruit a proactive and organised Fundraising Assistant. This role supports a busy fundraising and communications function, ensuring campaigns, events and supporter engagement activities run smoothly and to a high standard. You’ll help deliver excellent donor care, manage accurate fundraising records, and produce clear reports to inform future activity. This is a great opportunity to gain experience across community, corporate and digital fundraising while supporting a cause that makes a real difference. Key Responsibilities - Act as a first point of contact for supporters, donors and fundraising enquiries - Manage thank-you communications and supporter acknowledgements - Maintain accurate donor and campaign data within the CRM system - Coordinate logistics for fundraising events and community activities - Support the creation of campaign materials in collaboration with the communications team - Monitor timelines to ensure campaigns and events stay on track - Process donations accurately and in line with fundraising regulations and Gift Aid requirements - Produce income and performance reports for the fundraising manager - Ensure all fundraising activities are compliant with relevant standards and GDPR - Contribute to continuous improvement of fundraising systems and processes Skills & Experience - Previous experience in fundraising, supporter care or a similar administrative role within the charity or not-for-profit sector - Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities - Excellent written and verbal communication - Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, databases/CRM systems and fundraising platforms - Attention to detail and accuracy when handling data and financial information - Understanding of donor stewardship and supporter journeys Personal Attributes - Professional, positive and solutions-focused - Able to work independently as well as part of a team - Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities - Builds relationships based on trust, respect and collaboration - Committed to equality, inclusion and clear communication Additional Information - Occasional travel within Scotland may be required - Some flexibility in working hours may be needed to support events |
