Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging, high-quality Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4, with potential to contribute to KS5 teaching.

Differentiate lessons to meet the varied needs of all learners.

Track student progress and provide constructive, targeted feedback.

Prepare students for GCSE examinations through focused teaching and revision activities.

Support curriculum planning and development within the Geography department.

Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes active participation.

Uphold school behaviour policies and maintain strong classroom management.

Contribute to extracurricular initiatives, including field trips and departmental activities.

Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents to support student success.
Candidate Profile

QTS or equivalent overseas teaching qualification.

Degree in Geography or a closely related subject.

Experience teaching Geography at secondary level.

Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Geography education.

Effective classroom management and excellent communication skills.

Ability to differentiate teaching for a range of abilities.

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
