| ?? Grounds Operative Location: Bath (mobile role) Salary: £27,976 Contract: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week) ------------------------- ?? Love Working Outdoors? We’re looking for a Grounds Operative to help keep neighbourhoods clean, green, and welcoming. You’ll be working across a range of outdoor spaces, making a real difference to the communities you support. No two days are the same—one day you might be cutting grass in a peaceful green space, the next helping prepare pathways during colder weather. ------------------------- ?? What You’ll Be Doing - Keeping outdoor areas looking their best (grass cutting, hedge trimming, weeding, leaf clearing) - Using equipment like mowers, strimmers, and hedge cutters - Spotting and reporting issues (damage, safety concerns, fly-tipping) - Working safely and taking pride in high standards - Interacting with residents in a friendly, helpful way - Recording your work using simple handheld devices - Helping the team with seasonal jobs like gritting in winter ------------------------- ? What We’re Looking For - Some experience in grounds maintenance or outdoor/manual work - Physically fit and happy working outdoors in all weather - Basic knowledge of gardening or horticulture - Able to work independently and manage your own time - Friendly, reliable, and team-oriented - Full UK manual driving licence (essential) ------------------------- ? Bonus Points If You Have - Horticulture qualification (Level 1 or similar) - PA1 / PA6 pesticide certificates - LANTRA training ------------------------- ?? What You Need to Know - You’ll be working mainly in the Bath area - Ideally live within a 30-minute commute - Shared company van provided (van share) - Basic DBS check required - Must have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available) ------------------------- ??
