Job Description

?? Grounds Operative
Location: Bath (mobile role)
Salary: £27,976
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week)

-------------------------

?? Love Working Outdoors? This Could Be Perfect for You
If you enjoy being outside, staying active, and seeing the results of your work every day, this role is a great fit.
We’re looking for a Grounds Operative to help keep neighbourhoods clean, green, and welcoming. You’ll be working across a range of outdoor spaces, making a real difference to the communities you support.
No two days are the same—one day you might be cutting grass in a peaceful green space, the next helping prepare pathways during colder weather.

-------------------------

?? What You’ll Be Doing

- Keeping outdoor areas looking their best (grass cutting, hedge trimming, weeding, leaf clearing)
- Using equipment like mowers, strimmers, and hedge cutters
- Spotting and reporting issues (damage, safety concerns, fly-tipping)
- Working safely and taking pride in high standards
- Interacting with residents in a friendly, helpful way
- Recording your work using simple handheld devices
- Helping the team with seasonal jobs like gritting in winter

-------------------------

? What We’re Looking For

- Some experience in grounds maintenance or outdoor/manual work
- Physically fit and happy working outdoors in all weather
- Basic knowledge of gardening or horticulture
- Able to work independently and manage your own time
- Friendly, reliable, and team-oriented
- Full UK manual driving licence (essential)

-------------------------

? Bonus Points If You Have

- Horticulture qualification (Level 1 or similar)
- PA1 / PA6 pesticide certificates
- LANTRA training

-------------------------

?? What You Need to Know

- You’ll be working mainly in the Bath area
- Ideally live within a 30-minute commute
- Shared company van provided (van share)
- Basic DBS check required
- Must have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)

-------------------------

?? Why You’ll Enjoy This Role

- Work outdoors instead of being stuck behind a desk
- Stay active and hands-on every day
- Be part of a friendly, supportive team
- See the real impact of your work in local communities
- Stable, full-time role with consistent hours

-------------------------

?? If you take pride in your work, enjoy being outdoors, and want a job where you can actually see the difference you make—apply now!
