| Take ownership of the financial function across an active and growing group of companies, working directly with the shareholders and influencing how the businesses develop. As Group Financial Manager, you’ll have a broad and varied remit across a group of specialist manufacturing, industrial and product distribution businesses operating throughout the UK.  Founded in 2014, the group includes businesses in the automotive, medical and building product sectors. On any given week, you might be reviewing management accounts from one of the businesses, working with an in-house bookkeeper to tighten a month-end process, or sitting across the table from a target company’s management team during financial due diligence on a new acquisition. This position suits a qualified accountant who is equally comfortable in the detail and in the boardroom.  What’s in it for you - Salary of £50,000 - £80,000 per annum - A long-term position with the opportunity to grow alongside the company - Hybrid working, combining home and office-based work with travel around the group of companies - Direct involvement with shareholders and exposure to key business decisions - The opportunity to support due diligence on new acquisitions as the group continues to grow  Your responsibilities as Group Financial Manager - Taking responsibility for the integrity of reporting, the quality of management information and the oversight of operating businesses and the holding structure - Preparing and owning the consolidated monthly management accounts across all nine operating entities and associated holding companies - Leading the preparation of statutory accounts for all group entities, liaising with external auditors as required - Providing oversight and reporting to the shareholders - Supporting due diligence work on new acquisitions, working alongside the shareholders and external advisers - Acting as a trusted resource to bookkeepers and finance teams within the companies, improving processes, standardising reporting and raising the overall quality of financial management across the group  What we’re looking for in a Group Financial Manager - A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience – being a qualified accountant is a must-have requirement for this position - A full UK driving licence is essential, as you will travel around the businesses within the group - Proven hands-on experience in a similar finance capacity within an operating business, ideally spanning multiple different companies - Strong technical accounting skills, including consolidation, statutory reporting and an understanding of UK GAAP/FRS 102 - UK-based and able to commute to London when required, with the long-term right to work in the UK. No sponsorship is available for this position  Working hours – Monday to Friday.
