| HSE Contractor – Cambridgeshire Contract: Initial 2–3 months, with potential for extension Location: Cambridgeshire Working hours: Approximately 8am–5pm Rate: 400-450 per day Start date: ASAP INSIDE IR35 PAYE VIA UMBRELLA The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced HSE Contractor to provide hands-on health, safety and environmental support at a large automotive site in Cambridgeshire. The client requires an experienced HSE professional who can provide immediate practical support, review existing health and safety arrangements and help address outstanding documentation and risk assessment requirements. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is comfortable working independently, engaging with operational teams and making a positive impact from day one. Key Responsibilities - Provide day-to-day HSE support across the site and its operational activities. - Review, update and complete risk assessments and method statements where required. - Review existing HSE documentation and identify gaps or areas for improvement. - Conduct gap analyses and develop practical action plans to address identified issues. - Support the implementation and maintenance of effective health and safety procedures. - Provide practical advice and guidance to managers and employees on HSE matters. - Help ensure site activities comply with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation. - Support ongoing site safety activities and assist with resolving outstanding HSE actions. - Work independently, prioritising tasks and responding to the site's immediate HSE needs. About You - Proven experience in a hands-on HSE role within an automotive or similar environment. - Strong knowledge of risk assessments, HSE documentation and compliance requirements. - Experience identifying gaps in existing systems and implementing practical improvements. - Confident working independently and engaging with operational teams at all levels. - A proactive, practical approach, with the ability to hit the ground running. - Experience within automotive, vehicle refurbishment, engineering, manufacturing, workshops or a similar environment would be advantageous. The Details This is an initial 2–3 month contract, with a possibility of extension. The client is looking for someone who can start as soon as possible. Working hours are expected to be approximately 8am–5pm, although some flexibility may be required to support site operations. Day rate 400-450 per day, inside IR35. Interested?
